Former Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Solomon Dalung, has accused the Federal Government of lacking the political will required to effectively confront terrorism and worsening insecurity across Nigeria.
Dalung made the remarks while reacting to the persistent wave of terrorist attacks, kidnappings and violent assaults affecting communities in different parts of the country. He argued that the country’s security challenges have persisted not because solutions are unavailable, but because authorities have failed to demonstrate sufficient determination to address the problem decisively.
The former minister expressed concern over the continued loss of lives and destruction of communities despite years of military operations against insurgent and armed groups. He maintained that the security crisis requires more than military deployments, stressing the need for a comprehensive strategy backed by strong political commitment and accountability.
