NAF Airstrikes Kill Scores of Terrorists, Destroy Enclaves in Borno

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) says its Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai has carried out precision airstrikes that destroyed terrorist enclaves and neutralised scores of insurgents in Yaganari, within the Gezuwa general area of Borno State, in another major offensive against terrorist groups operating in the North-East.

According to the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the operation followed credible intelligence indicating renewed terrorist activity and the concentration of fighters in the area. Intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions reportedly confirmed the presence of terrorist structures and logistics hubs before the targets were engaged in a series of precision strikes.

The Air Force said the strikes destroyed terrorist infrastructure and neutralised several fighters, adding that the operation has further degraded the ability of the insurgents to regroup, move freely, or launch attacks against civilian and military targets.

Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, commended the personnel involved for their professionalism and reaffirmed the Nigerian Air Force’s commitment to sustaining relentless offensive operations against terrorism and other threats to national security.

The latest operation forms part of ongoing military efforts to intensify pressure on insurgent groups across the North-East, where security forces continue coordinated air and ground offensives aimed at restoring peace and stability.
