Youth members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ayiwola have organised a voter sensitisation rally in support of the party’s governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), ahead of the 15 August Osun State governorship election. The rally formed part of ongoing grassroots mobilisation aimed at encouraging voter participation and strengthening support for the APC candidate.

The procession attracted hundreds of party supporters, who marched through major streets carrying APC flags and banners while urging eligible voters to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and participate peacefully in the election. Party leaders described the exercise as part of a wider campaign to increase voter awareness and deepen grassroots engagement across the state.

Addressing supporters during the rally, APC leaders urged residents not to be intimidated by rumours of violence or political tension. They maintained that security agencies had assured the party of adequate security arrangements and encouraged voters to exercise their democratic rights without fear.

The organisers also appealed to young people to play an active role in promoting peaceful elections, rejecting violence, vote buying and other forms of electoral malpractice. They stressed that the future of Osun State depends on broad citizen participation and credible elections.

The rally is one of several mobilisation activities organised by political parties across Osun State as campaigns intensify ahead of the governorship poll. The APC has continued to expand its grassroots campaign through solidarity walks, community engagements and voter sensitisation programmes in different local government areas.
