The controversy surrounding the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC) has taken another turn as Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, who claims to be the council’s Director-General, declared his readiness to submit all documents in his possession to the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigeria Police Force, and other investigating agencies to establish the truth behind the disputed agency.
Adeyemi said he was prepared to cooperate fully with the ongoing investigation ordered by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, insisting that he had nothing to hide. He maintained that security agencies should thoroughly authenticate all documents in his possession to determine how the agency was created and who was responsible for its operations.
Speaking during an online interview, Adeyemi disclosed that he would personally report to the DSS or the police with all relevant documents, expressing confidence that a transparent investigation would reveal the facts surrounding the PFIPC controversy. He also questioned how an agency now described as non-existent appeared in the 2026 Federal Budget, insisting that investigators should unravel the circumstances behind its inclusion.
The development follows growing public controversy after the Presidency described the PFIPC as a fictitious agency and accused Adeyemi of forgery, impersonation, and related offences. Adeyemi, however, has consistently denied the allegations, insisting that he was legitimately appointed and welcoming an independent investigation into the matter.
The PFIPC controversy has intensified public debate over transparency, accountability, and oversight in government institutions, with increasing calls for a comprehensive investigation into the agency’s existence, budgetary allocation, and the roles played by all individuals connected to the matter.
